About

The Full Story

We started this journey as two pole vaulters on the Johns Hopkins varsity track team, each grappling with the all-too-common frustration of athletic injuries. As explosive athletes, we craved deeper insight into our bodies—something beyond what the market’s existing wearable tech, mostly optimized for endurance sports, could offer. Each wall and setback we encountered during recovery became part of our motivation: if medical research was pioneering breakthroughs in EMG (electromyography) sensing, why wasn’t this power available to athletes like us?

Drawing from our hands-on experience—one of us a senior in mechanical engineering and economics at JHU, the other holding dual bachelor’s degrees in engineering mechanics and materials science, and now pursuing a mechanical and aerospace engineering PhD at Notre Dame—we built our team around practical expertise and passion. Joined by a talented electrical engineering master’s student from JHU, we set out to bridge this technology gap.

We’re athletes, engineers, and relentless problem-solvers, all driven by the conviction that every jumper, sprinter, and lifter deserves precise, actionable biometric feedback. Our EMG wearables empower athletes and coaches to unlock true performance potential—and finally make injury prevention as measurable as the next personal record.
